A residential design project in a London Victorian terraced house. Using strong historical elements from the Victorian property and contrasting them with the customers’ Ghanaian ancestry. I’ve experimented with the contrast of two schemes while also allowing the era of the various parts of the building to heavily inspire my design. For example, in the existing Victorian side of the property, colours, textures, and patterns from that era were used. The modern part of the property, on the other hand, is designed to have a modern and natural feel to it. I’ve looked at how I might maximise the ground level to provide my clients more space while still allowing natural light to flood the different spaces.
